D’Adonis Moquette, Aspiring Film Maker, Sacramento, CA

Currently at Tyler Perry’s Dream Collective

“Kincade Productions helps you understand not only how to get into the industry but what attitude is best for success. Through compelling visual storytelling and in-field perspectives from Film Makers in the profession, Robin applies emphasis to what’s most important and is genuinely trying to make the film community better, one student at a time. As someone new to the film industry I have come to find that being armed with Kincade Productions invaluable teachings has lifted the veil of the unspoken codes of conduct for the film industry specifically and what is taboo. All of which has better prepared me for the reality of following my dream of filmmaking.”

Kincade Production was the first academic and learning experience for me because I never knew I would have loved camera and operations and stuff. And so I think that this really set my goal and my passion right now. I currently work at Bulldog Vision, which does all the support production, light production at Federal State. So whether we do soccer, football, volleyball, waters to the field, we do all that. That PA has to be able to adapt to anything. So you can be thrown on camera.  You can be thrown on audio graphics. You kind of have to know a little bit of everything. So it goes back to that PA that you have to be willing to learn a little bit of everything because you never know when you're gonna be thrown on something.”

Emma Ryder, Production Assistant, Los Angeles, CA

Currently Office PA at Prettybird/Ventureland

“I took your PA course while I was interning at the Sacramento Film Office. After completing your PA course, I went to work on a feature film, No Address, that shot in Sacramento in 2023. The PA course definitely helped ease me into being on set. The course laid out real world examples and experiences that gave me insight into the production world and gave me more depth on it than what I learned from being in school. I am so grateful I got to take your course. As a green PA, you are just getting thrown into the fire and just must figure things out as you go, but going into my first gig with the PA course behind me, I felt more confident in my surroundings. Since No Address, I made dozens of connections with the local film community in Sacramento and the Bay Area. I've been on sets big and small, from features to docs, commercials and digital marketing videos. I love being on set and surrounded by hardworking, like minded people. I made sure to make good connections wherever I'd go, and was able to stay busy as a freelancer.”
